Virtualization operates across five distinct levels. At the Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) level, it enables compatibility across different hardware. The Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) level, driven by hypervisors like VMware and Hyper-V, allows multiple virtual machines to run on a single server. Operating System-level virtualization isolates users, Library-level ensures application compatibility, and Application-level virtualization enables flexible software deployment.
